To encourage eatery outlets to reduce food waste at source together with customers through offering portioned meals and adopting food waste reduction measures, the Environmental Protection Department has launched the “Food Wise Eateries” Scheme. Participants will be awarded with a Food Wise Eateries (FWE) accreditation status if they comply with the assessment criteria and will be granted with the FWE Logo and Stickers for displaying in the premises and their promotion for public identification. Applications are accepted all year round and are FREE of charge.

To promote a new salt and sugar reduction (RSS) dietary culture and living style to the people of Hong Kong, the Environment and Ecology Bureau, the Committee on Reduction of Salt and Sugar in Food and the Centre for Food Safety of the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department have launched the "Less-Salt-and-Sugar Restaurants Scheme" ("Scheme"). Restaurants participated in the Scheme will offer less salt or sugar options to the consumer or even tailor-make less salt or sugar dishes in designated restaurants. Participating restaurants will be granted with the Scheme Labels for displaying in the premises for public identification. 一直都覺得太興d野食好少選擇,好頹。今天原本以為又系焗住食頹餐,結果有個開心大發現,系佢出左d新菜。限量供應,售完即止。58蚊元蹄仲跟埋餐,仲想點!鵝都好抵食,無奈岩岩病好,唔敢食鵝。原以為58蚊元蹄會好細隻,結果嚇人一跳,勁大隻,勁抵食。豬皮勁入味,豬肉炆得非常爛,夠晒入味。跟埋餐飲,白飯,好滿足。不過另一個餐原本想食蒸魚,結果無貨,成日都冇貨,晤知搞咩。但餐牌日日都有哦。唯有食豆腐魚柳煲。不得不順帶講聲,呢個真的頹,食左咁多年,只有價錢在加,份量糸越來越少,整煲野里全部糸豆腐,魚柳就又少又細舊,仲要包好多粉。不過呢篇食評講的系開心大發現,新菜式系絕對值得表彰,所以點都系比正評。希望太興多d新菜式,轉轉花樣,晤好咁悶啦!
