To encourage eatery outlets to reduce food waste at source together with customers through offering portioned meals and adopting food waste reduction measures, the Environmental Protection Department has launched the “Food Wise Eateries” Scheme. Participants will be awarded with a Food Wise Eateries (FWE) accreditation status if they comply with the assessment criteria and will be granted with the FWE Logo and Stickers for displaying in the premises and their promotion for public identification. Applications are accepted all year round and are FREE of charge.

To promote a new salt and sugar reduction (RSS) dietary culture and living style to the people of Hong Kong, the Environment and Ecology Bureau, the Committee on Reduction of Salt and Sugar in Food and the Centre for Food Safety of the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department have launched the "Less-Salt-and-Sugar Restaurants Scheme" ("Scheme"). Restaurants participated in the Scheme will offer less salt or sugar options to the consumer or even tailor-make less salt or sugar dishes in designated restaurants. Participating restaurants will be granted with the Scheme Labels for displaying in the premises for public identification. 呢日星期六,8個大人加2個唔食野既人仔,叫左個半席圓桌歡聚宴,有滙豐信用咭優惠,加左碟叉燒同埋東坡肉,冇叫白飯,改為三文魚砵仔飯。呢度 PROMOTE 緊客家菜,我地呢餐有几味都係客家菜,老爺係客家人,雖然味道一般,但佢都食得好開心。蜜汁叉燒先上枱,好好食,好叉燒難求,肥瘦厚薄適中,蜜汁味香甜濃郁,絶對係一碟好叉燒。雲耳小瓜炒花枝崧,普普通通。上湯焗加拿大龍蝦 (伊麵底),龍蝦雖然細細隻,但都食到鮮甜味,只係份量太細。東坡肉,肥瘦一層層分明,肉質感覺結實,色澤美麗,入口融化滿口油香。醬皇金蒜雞,睇落好濃味,但食落就剛剛好,金蒜好香口,雞肉嫩滑。蝦乾肉崧浸娃娃菜同埋鮑螺片,2碟都好大碟,1個餐有2碟咁大份量既菜,仲有碟雲耳小瓜炒花枝崧,3個都係瓜瓜菜菜,實在太誇張,亦有呃秤之嫌。蠔皇鮑螺片,唔好食,個汁又唔好食,個鮑螺片太淋又冇味,又唔好食。三文魚焗筒飯,加左油鹽同埋三文魚碎黎蒸,再加埋葱,几香口。襌衣脆魚卷,外層酥脆,內裡魚肉略嫌太結實,同埋咸左D。清蒸花尾躉,蒸得剛剛好,肉質都几滑,也有魚香味。魚型芒果布甸,一般啦,人工開粉的味道。
