To encourage eatery outlets to reduce food waste at source together with customers through offering portioned meals and adopting food waste reduction measures, the Environmental Protection Department has launched the “Food Wise Eateries” Scheme. Participants will be awarded with a Food Wise Eateries (FWE) accreditation status if they comply with the assessment criteria and will be granted with the FWE Logo and Stickers for displaying in the premises and their promotion for public identification. Applications are accepted all year round and are FREE of charge.

To promote a new salt and sugar reduction (RSS) dietary culture and living style to the people of Hong Kong, the Environment and Ecology Bureau, the Committee on Reduction of Salt and Sugar in Food and the Centre for Food Safety of the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department have launched the "Less-Salt-and-Sugar Restaurants Scheme" ("Scheme"). Restaurants participated in the Scheme will offer less salt or sugar options to the consumer or even tailor-make less salt or sugar dishes in designated restaurants. Participating restaurants will be granted with the Scheme Labels for displaying in the premises for public identification. 路過旺記好多次,但係可能佢個門口實在太唔起眼,所以佢開咗差唔多成年都冇試過。偶然喺面書見到一個推介蛋包飯嘅文章,先至發現原來我一路都掂行掂過,錯過咗呢間冰室。第一次嚟旺記冰室,點咗佢嘅招牌「自家製叉燒日本滑蛋飯」。個滑蛋真係好滑,入口後好似會流落條食道咁,食得出係日本蛋,因為蛋味比本地蛋濃。至於哩個自家製叉燒呢… 質地係OK嘅,一啲都唔韌,肥瘦適中。冇咗平時燒臘舖叉燒嘅嗰陣炭香味反而比較夾呢個滑蛋。個醬汁都係旺記冰室嘅招牌,都係自製嘅。唔係太鹹,帶少少甜。總括嚟講呢一個叉燒滑蛋飯同平時茶餐廳叉燒滑蛋飯嘅分別係叉燒每一塊嘅肥瘦都好適中,唔會一舊瘦一舊肥或者成碟都係肥叉燒 / 成碟都係瘦嘅。個蛋嘅蛋味比較濃,而滑蛋係完全覆蓋晒整碟飯嘅。醬汁都冇其他地方嘅叉燒滑蛋飯咁咸。整體嚟講啱啱好。
