To encourage eatery outlets to reduce food waste at source together with customers through offering portioned meals and adopting food waste reduction measures, the Environmental Protection Department has launched the “Food Wise Eateries” Scheme. Participants will be awarded with a Food Wise Eateries (FWE) accreditation status if they comply with the assessment criteria and will be granted with the FWE Logo and Stickers for displaying in the premises and their promotion for public identification. Applications are accepted all year round and are FREE of charge.

慧食堂位於舊大埔警署內，菜式純素無蛋奶，含有五辛嘅菜式有特別標示。去到先係出面向店員點餐，跟住係旁邊比錢同取餐。食完自己將餐具放返係回收區。午餐可任選3款或4款菜式，菜式包括前菜、主食或湯。午餐任選4款 ($66)自家醃菜伴豆腐沙葛絲涼伴素芝士粉鷹咀豆藜麥沙律果仁素丸子鷹咀豆煎餅海帶高湯燉節瓜香料紅扁豆濃湯香料黃薑糙米飯洛神花茶 ($20)自家醃菜味道似雪菜，配上淡味嘅滑豆腐幾好食。沙葛絲味道清甜爽脆，完全唔似食緊沙葛，似食緊生椰菜。素丸子味道幾特別，有果仁嘅香味，亦有素羊腩 (冬菇腳) 嘅味道。鷹咀豆煎餅外表香脆，食落有西蘭花味。海帶高湯節瓜好有日式風味，節瓜吸哂高湯嘅味道。紅扁豆濃湯質地似薯蓉咁粉，味道較淡，靠表面嘅醃菜調味。
