年宵節與家人外出用膳,在訂枱時已四處碰壁,好不容易才在上環「竹園海鮮飯店」找到位置。「竹園海鮮飯店」是一間中菜館,以海鮮作主打,當中不乏一些貴價選擇如鮑參翅肚等等。在正門位置,一如其他海鮮餐館設置了魚缸,但海鮮品種及數量不算多。沿梯級而下,則可望見一個飾櫃,內裡堆放了大批魚翅花膠等海味乾貨,吸引食客選購。飯局以一客「鹽水炸豆腐」開始,菜式的擺盤一般,豆腐粒的大小不勻稱,勝在熱辣,但酥香脆感只屬不過不失。菜館以海鮮作招徠,當然要試試。以兩只各重斤餘的肉蟹製作「蜜糖胡椒辣蟹」這道佳餚,醬汁一如預期甜辣並重,但卻少了胡椒的惹味神韻。兩只肉蟹的肉質有一定差距,一只口感飽實,另一只口感薄削。「豉油皇花竹蝦」游水新鮮亦夠大隻,成品賣相佳,肉厚美味,屬全晚其中一道佳作。不過,要享受這道佳餚,代價亦不菲,花竹蝦 $4x / 両,單是九只蝦過 $1,500! 「蒜片牛柳粒」調味過於重手,很鹹;只是欣賞甜脆芝麻合桃粒。 「生炒排骨」水準平平,建議選用更厚肉的排骨效果更佳。「柚皮鵝掌煲」炆煮時間夠火喉,柚皮十分可口。「蛋白瑤柱帶子炒飯」帶子份量足,粒粒原整分明,配合鹹香的金黃瑤柱絲,炒製成這碟味道不俗的炒
