First time to be back after Yum Cha had been renovated. I like the previous version more, as in the current version, the tables are much closer to each other as they put more tables. I guess they did fulfill their objective of maximizing the number of customers during the high-traffic times, but it affected the customer experience. This time we ordered the set for 2 for $398, and +$20 for 1 dessert to share. This time we ordered the set for 2 for $398, and +$20 for 1 dessert to share. The set only contains one dim sum, so for those who would like to try their dim sums, better not to order the set.
I didn’t expect the fried wonton to be in this presentation of deep-fried gyoza. I was expecting wontons with loose ends. The inside was fully filled with shrimps.
The soup was good.
All the stir-fried dishes were nicely done, especially the prawns with bouncy texture and the beef noodles. The beef was also tender.
We’re so full. Lucky that we only ordered 1 dessert of the day instead of 2. The dessert was a refreshing one. We couldn’t tell from its name, while it’s pink guava. It’s a nice one and not too sweet.
