To encourage eatery outlets to reduce food waste at source together with customers through offering portioned meals and adopting food waste reduction measures, the Environmental Protection Department has launched the “Food Wise Eateries” Scheme. Participants will be awarded with a Food Wise Eateries (FWE) accreditation status if they comply with the assessment criteria and will be granted with the FWE Logo and Stickers for displaying in the premises and their promotion for public identification. Applications are accepted all year round and are FREE of charge.

To promote a new salt and sugar reduction (RSS) dietary culture and living style to the people of Hong Kong, the Environment and Ecology Bureau, the Committee on Reduction of Salt and Sugar in Food and the Centre for Food Safety of the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department have launched the "Less-Salt-and-Sugar Restaurants Scheme" ("Scheme"). Restaurants participated in the Scheme will offer less salt or sugar options to the consumer or even tailor-make less salt or sugar dishes in designated restaurants. Participating restaurants will be granted with the Scheme Labels for displaying in the premises for public identification. 週六在信德美心皇宮出席了一場飲宴,酒家地方挺大,裝潢舒適。宴會設於其中一間貴賓房內,空間充裕。食物方面,保持美心穩打穩紮的水準,飲宴菜式則無太大驚喜,簡評如下:金陵琵琶乳豬:出品微暖,乳豬不算大隻,肉多唔算肥,皮脆度一般。翡翠花姿蚌片:碟頭大,翡翠(西蘭花)夠翠綠爽甜。花姿片及蚌片亦夠脆口。翠棠玉環瑤柱脯:玉環(節瓜)清甜嫩口,瑤柱雖香但略鹹。脆奶貴妃蝦球:脆奶香滑脆度一般,貴妃蝦球酸汁開胃吸引,蝦球食味理想,口感彈牙!紅燒花膠雞絲翅:翅湯底過稠,評價中下。原隻鮮鮑魚扣玉掌:鮑魚富鮮味,與玉掌一樣炆得夠腍夠入味。清蒸大花尾龍躉斑:龍躉肥肉,肉質白滑,但成品未熟透。當紅脆皮炸雞:皮脆香口,雞肉夠滑,富雞香,但稍鹹。飄香荷葉飯:太飽,無食到。雙喜伊麵:太飽,無食到。鴻運年年露:紅豆沙甜度合心,OK喇。喜慶蟠桃包:蟠桃包出品飽滿熱辣,蓮蓉甜滑香口,配上少許鹹蛋黃,更添美味。
