To encourage eatery outlets to reduce food waste at source together with customers through offering portioned meals and adopting food waste reduction measures, the Environmental Protection Department has launched the “Food Wise Eateries” Scheme. Participants will be awarded with a Food Wise Eateries (FWE) accreditation status if they comply with the assessment criteria and will be granted with the FWE Logo and Stickers for displaying in the premises and their promotion for public identification. Applications are accepted all year round and are FREE of charge.

To promote a new salt and sugar reduction (RSS) dietary culture and living style to the people of Hong Kong, the Environment and Ecology Bureau, the Committee on Reduction of Salt and Sugar in Food and the Centre for Food Safety of the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department have launched the "Less-Salt-and-Sugar Restaurants Scheme" ("Scheme"). Restaurants participated in the Scheme will offer less salt or sugar options to the consumer or even tailor-make less salt or sugar dishes in designated restaurants. Participating restaurants will be granted with the Scheme Labels for displaying in the premises for public identification. 屋企人攞枱先,我之後到埗,一坐低枱底頂腳,枱面撞手,原來剛才無位,攞張麻雀枱代替先,無辦法唯有食住先。呢頭叫左兩樣點心,嗰頭就有吉枱,諗住話換枱喇,嗰阿姐就話“你叫左野就唔換得架啦”,吓?問下個經理,佢問阿姐“你有無說聲“唔好叫住,等一陣再換張枱”呀?”,佢靜左,無就換枱啦。阿姐開始發茅話“有枱就用得架啦”,“叫左野又點轉呀”,我就反駁話“你是咪屋企都用麻雀枱食飯架?”,“點解轉唔到呀,用唔返張單咪開過張單囉”,佢又話“要轉枱唔一早說,張枱照用就得”,我答佢“是你無一早說定先,正常都唔用麻雀枱啦,四邊都突起,手都放唔到,你食比我睇啦”,又啞左。最後卒之經理換左枱比我,其間細枱放眼望去又多幾張,p.s.至於一開始麻雀枱後面有兩張大枱是比人夾枱用,屋企人唔想同陌生人坐就無揀到,結果到我食完前幾分鐘先有客用到,啋。
