To encourage eatery outlets to reduce food waste at source together with customers through offering portioned meals and adopting food waste reduction measures, the Environmental Protection Department has launched the “Food Wise Eateries” Scheme. Participants will be awarded with a Food Wise Eateries (FWE) accreditation status if they comply with the assessment criteria and will be granted with the FWE Logo and Stickers for displaying in the premises and their promotion for public identification. Applications are accepted all year round and are FREE of charge.

To promote a new salt and sugar reduction (RSS) dietary culture and living style to the people of Hong Kong, the Environment and Ecology Bureau, the Committee on Reduction of Salt and Sugar in Food and the Centre for Food Safety of the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department have launched the "Less-Salt-and-Sugar Restaurants Scheme" ("Scheme"). Restaurants participated in the Scheme will offer less salt or sugar options to the consumer or even tailor-make less salt or sugar dishes in designated restaurants. Participating restaurants will be granted with the Scheme Labels for displaying in the premises for public identification. 在新城市廣場,由N年前同系的美心開始,到現在的翠園,相信是不少沙田友的集體回憶。碰巧家人聚腳,說有信用咭新優惠套餐,又即管試下。週六晚坐冇虛席,人齊即上菜:1. 冬瓜盅: 用料算新鮮,味道比較清2. 黑椒珍珠爆雞球: 算是惹味,但翠肉瓜有苦味3. 芝士上湯焗大花蝦: 算是好食的一道菜,花蝦大隻,唯伊麵少D4. 蒸原隻吉品鮑魚: 完全冇味,似湯渣多D,好明顯鮑魚殼只是裝飾,不是原身鮑魚。5. 金衣花枝球: 冇味,又靭6. 瑤柱杞子菜苗: 味淡普通7. 蠔皇鮑螺片: 大路貨色,no comment8. 黑白胡椒雞: 隻雞好似浸咗好耐,D雞肉上碟時已幾乎散晒,而且完全食唔出胡椒味,雞肉好"鞋"。9. 椰香芒果凍: 夠凍,果肉多,ok la服務嘛....只能用"亂嘈嘈"來形容。套餐點啤酒黎咗橙汁,甜品追咗四次才送來。最攪笑係食完晒收晒碗筷先發現仲有半壺冬瓜盅未分,又要再開過D湯碗再分過。千零蚊唔算貴,但冇性價比可言,食物質素及服務甚至比街坊酒樓還差一截。
