Restaurant: Hong Kong Old Restaurant

To promote a new salt and sugar reduction (RSS) dietary culture and living style to the people of Hong Kong, the Environment and Ecology Bureau, the Committee on Reduction of Salt and Sugar in Food and the Centre for Food Safety of the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department have launched the "Less-Salt-and-Sugar Restaurants Scheme" ("Scheme"). Restaurants participated in the Scheme will offer less salt or sugar options to the consumer or even tailor-make less salt or sugar dishes in designated restaurants. Participating restaurants will be granted with the Scheme Labels for displaying in the premises for public identification. 最近常吃西日美食,感覺有點膩,還是中菜比較百吃不厭。家人選了在這充滿懷舊風情的老飯店進行家族聚餐。環境不錯,座位闊落,非一般酒樓格局。菜式選擇多,有不少坊間較為罕見的懷舊菜式。前菜當中,比較喜歡這煙燻糖心蛋。燻後的糖心蛋份外美味,溫和蛋漿和伴碟的合桃粒,口感和味道一流。蒸魚不過不失,魚肉有鮮味,火候控制得宜,只是口感不夠結實。生煎包外脆內軟,有滿滿的肉汁,宜肉香滿溢。麻婆豆腐偏重口味,調味手法傳統,加入了較多香料,正宗我下懷。水煮牛肉的配料很多,夠麻勁!其他菜式整體也做得不錯,價錢合理,值得再來。
