Their lighting was perfect for pics, esp flatlays which made my life a whole lot easier😂 They only have around 4 tables, so highly recommend marking a reservation before you go! .Ingredients were fresh and of great quality on the whole and everything was put together with great care. 1. Salt Yaki Anago 鹽燒活鰻 HKD 68: Impressed by the crispy skin. The meat was fresh and perfect cooked, evenly salted throughout without any overpowering sauce. A solid 10/10.

2. Leek and chicken 日本長蔥雞肉 🍢 HKD 38: I am really boring when it comes to chicken skewers and tend to stick to the classic meaty kinds. Again, seasoning was on point! Great flavours and texture. Might be too lean for some but I loved it, another 10/10.

3. Pork ball tonkatsu 吉列一口豚 HKD 68: Never thought this would be my thing but it was so perfect executed! Super light and crispy. The pork had a lovely flavour. I particularly loved the ones that were a whole chunk of meat connected to a whole chunk of fat, as the meat was particularly tender (instead of the ones in which the fat was intertwined with the meat)

4. Cod roe tamagoyaki 明太子玉子燒 HKD 98: A little pricey for the size but I loved the smooth tender egg roll and the spicy cod roe. Was a little sweet for my liking though, would imagine it to be a better match with the spicy cod roe had it been more on the savoury side.

5. Tsukune 自家製免治雞肉卷 🍢HKD 48: Love both the texture and the flavour. Super saucy and perfect with the yolk!

6. Grilled rice ball 燒飯團 🍙HKD 48: Super satisfying finish to our meal! Crispy and flavourful and the pickled garlic 🧄 were sweet and sour, not spicy at all!

7. Fluorescent squid 螢光魷魚🦑HKD 48: Have always loved this dish. They did it well, though the sauce wasn’t as strong so the squid flavour was a bit more prominent.

8. Thick beef tongue 厚牛舌芯 HKD 68: Real thick and super tender!
