My friends and I was stating in Hong Kong for a business trip and our coworker introduced us to a restrount called Hot in a Pot, where my friends and I though could get some yummy troducitional tim som. But was appeared too late because it was seven thirty at night and they only surve tim som in the afternoon from 11am to 4:30.

To our amusenment this restrount surved a completely different style of food at night , which was called hotpot. Our waiter Eric quicklly introduced us briffely about "hotpot" . This specal type of dining "hotpot" is alot like the fondue we sometime enjoy back home in Utah. So what we do is order a soup base of our likeing, and a seliction of raw/uncooked food and put it into the soup and eat it when it's cooked. we were also given a small plate of soy sauce where we are supposted to mix the spices profided for flavering.

But even with the quick introduction our knowage about hotpot is still very limited. So Eric explained to us about some of the soup base they have and we finally decited on the tomato and potato soup base. The soup base was sweet of potato and rich with tomato, as the soup boiled up we can smell the delightfulness of tomato and potato.

That night we ordered ; domestic sliced beef, chicken filet, scallop, fresh shrimp, four scottish clam shrimp dumpling, white carrot and baby cabbage. The domestic sliced beef was tander and simply amazing. The white carrot had soken up alot of the soup and taste extra specal.
It is true when i say everything was speticular.

But we partuclarly loved the way Eric had help us ordered, since there was just the three of us we were worried about rater or not we'd be able to finish so much food. Eric explained to us that we can order some of the things in half and if we still wanted more we can order more later, so that's what we did. the whole dinner came to about 560 HK dollars, and that's just around 70 dollars USA for all that food we ate.
We had a amazing time that evening and would deffintly tell all our friends how fantastic this place is. sadly we weren't given enough time so that we could come back and try the tim som the following afternoon, but we are sure to come back for another taste of awsomeness the next time we come back.
