After hiking with my friend, it was already dinner time and we suggested to have dinner over some beer and bites. In the end we chose The Madhouse CWB | Taproom • Kitchen. They have happy hour for some of the beers and we ordered 2 beers. Hopped longan mead was easy to drink and smooth, with strong longan and fruity taste. Flower market draft beer was fragrant, slightly bitter in taste as it have strong Jasmine taste.
Mad satay - It came in 6 skewers, 3 pieces each of pork and beef. Pork and beef were grilled till chewy and charred in taste, with satay sauce enhancing the flavour.
Crunchy onion rings - Onion rings were big and round in shape, and deep fried till the skin was very thin and crispy. Onion rings inside was juicy and fresh in taste.
Mad cart cheese burger - The chef was generous with the portion, which came with French fries at the side. Bun was toasted till soft and warm, while the beef patty was juicy, with cheese, tomato and lettuce etc in it. Fries was fried till soft and crispy.
Seafood linguine with tom yum sauce - Pasta as cooked till chewy and smooth, very flavourful and spicy. There were prawn and squid in it, which were chewy and fresh in taste.
