The Royals Pub is a pub that has been in the Causeway Bay area for as long as I've known. But not once have I ever been inside. I always assumed it was just drinks and pub food. Was I wrong when I took a look at the menu. Apparently during the day, it offers very cheap cha chan teng classics.The interior was your typical old style pub design. Wood every where along with tvs at every corner. Perfect for viewing a game of football.Menu is in English and Chinese. There is no 10% service charge. S

Boyfriend had the lunch set as there is a discount during afternoon tea time. This came with a borscht soup. It was ok and with a strong tomato taste.
He had the Black Pepper Beef Tenderloin and Prawn Cake with a choice of fries ($64). The fries were soggy and cold. But the steak was not too bad. Tender with out the taste of meat tenderizer. There were at least two pieces. The sauce was savory enough. The prawn cake was really crunchy. The shrimp meat was firm and bouncy.
I had the Deep Fried Chicken Wings with Fruit Salad ($40) from the afternoon tea menu. The wings were really hot and crispy. Meat was juicy. The salad had the right amount of mayo.
The food was not too bad. Price was definitely not expensive. The drinks come out really fast. Obviously the bartender is a pro.
