The restaurant is quite nice looking. Spacious seating and beautiful Chinese drawings on the wall that were modern and not old fashioned. Which seems to be the theme for the food here. Modern Chinese. Menu is in Chinese and English though some items were in Chinese only. They offer sets and a la carte. We decided to order some dim sum. Ordering is by checking off what you want on a check off menu.

Li Ji Steamed Shrimp Dumpings ($53). You get three of the large black and gold shrimp dumplings and one little mini one! It  looked pretty. The skin was thin yet didn't break apart. It held together well. The shrimp filling was fresh and firm.

Steamed Beetroot Wild Mushroom Black Truffle Sauce Dumpings ($38). Filled with minced mushrooms with bamboo shoots, there was a bit of truffle paste  to give it a push but not too much to over power everything. The skin on the dumplings were thin and held together well.

Steamed Rice Rolls With Angus Beef ($43). Quite interesting as the chunks of Angus were found throughout the usual beef patty so you get a bit of chew with every bite. The rice rolls were smooth and soft.

Barbeque Pork Buns with Crispy Crust ($43). I love char siu bao so these were a treat. The filling was savory with a good amount of sauce. The coating was sweet and crispy. The size was perfect in two bites.

Prices are a bit more than most places but it is  higher in quality as well in terms of technique and ingredients used. Food tasted good and it was well made. The place was also beautiful including the dinnerware.  Definitely a different choice than the other cafe and Western style fare in the area.
