上品火鍋料理 is one of those hidden gem in Tin Hau. If Megan’s kitchen has Michelin recognition for its hotpot, you must be kidding that 上品 is not even bib gourmand. The food and services aren’t perfect but it was excellent. The waitress (Rachel) took care of us to even the minor details, such as asking us for more drinks right after we finish, clean up the plates as soon as we finish, skim off the forth and scum using a fine sieve, top up the broth without asking, and even Chinese style birthday bun

The waitress (Rachel) took care of us to even the minor details, such as asking us for more drinks right after we finish, clean up the plates as soon as we finish, skim off the forth and scum using a fine sieve, top up the broth without asking, and even Chinese style birthday buns for the birthday boy. What else more could you ask for when you already felt like a king.

Drunken Chicken Broth (6/10)
The broth was sweet and delicate, more importantly, proper Chinese medicine were employed with greatly marinated drunken chicken. As the night went by, the flavour only intensity, absolutely outstanding.

Local hand slice beef, Beef sashimi (6/10)
The beef were full of the meaty flavour, not like those all you can eat one, lack of the meaty flavour, frozen, watery. More importantly, it was fairly tender and soft. The beef sashimi was greatly matched with the spicy and sour sauces. The beef itself was slightly fat, fresh and soft. It was very challenging not to continue once we started.

Geoduck, thai tiger prawn sashimi (6/10)
The season food was fresh with the perfect texture, sweet and rich, running out of words to describe it.

Rarely you will get both services and food quality at a Hotpot place, Top Grade is one of the few places do, if you have yet been to Top Grade, you know where’s the next stop for Hot pot.

Give me a thumbs up if you like it!
