The weather was bad and it was raining. We waited for our table for about 15 minutes. The seats were okay, not too uncomfortable yet a bit small. We ordered a Japanese rice omelet with pork chop in honey marinade and a set of Hainanese chicken rice. The pork chop was fine and the rice omelet was great. The portion was generous and the seasoning was right on the spot. While the pork chop was tender and juicy, the egg tasted wonderful with the rice and the ketchup.  As for the Hainanese chicken rice, we could guarantee that it was so much better than that served in the Singaporean restaurant featuring the same dish next to this restaurant. The chicken was delicious and the sauces were above satisfaction.

The only thing that we frowned upon was the only runner available at that time was busy playing peekaboo with one of the foreign diners' baby. We understood that the baby was cute; however, we did not think she was doing her job as a number of the customers waiting to pay the bills and some of the others waving for ordering food.

Nevertheless, the money was well-spent. If you are looking for a restaurant for the best value of your money, you should have a look at this restaurant. My student and I had lunch here for a number of times, none of which was regrettable.
