I like Hong Kong styled cafe (港式茶餐廳). Tonight I had dinner at Rosa Bridge Restaurant (紅橋),a Hong Kong styled cafe at Sai Yeung Choi South Street, Mong Kok after work. This is my first visit. As noted from Openrice, there are plenty favourable comments on its pricing and food. There are branches at Prince Edward and Tai Po. So I decided to give it a try.According to the menu, there are many good and economical choices. Dinner sets from $78 to $98 are provided, including appetizer, soup, main
So I decided to give it a try.
According to the menu, there are many good and economical choices. Dinner sets from $78 to $98 are provided, including appetizer, soup, main dish and drink. Add-on snacks from $18 to $22 are attractive. Above all, no 10% service charge is required.
Being hungry after a long meeting, I decided to reward myself and order my favorite main dish, a full rack of honey barbeque pork ribs ($150). I also ordered daily soup($12), iced lemon tea, sesame shrimp toast ($18) and honey pepper single bone chicken wings ($22). What a feast!
Cream soup is a good appetiser, creamy and filling.
The full rack of honey barbeque pork ribs is huge. It is more delicious than I expect. It is made upon order and worth the wait of 30 minutes. The pork ribs are well seasoned, juicy and savoury. The vegetable side dishes and fries are nice, too.
The sesame shrimp toast is a must try. It tastes better than those I tried in some Chinese restaurants. The single bone chicken wing is easy to eat.
I am totally satisfied to finish my dinner with the iced lemon tea.
On the whole, a satisfying dining experience at $202 only. Though I am a big eater, I have to take away some of the ribs as the portion is generous. I'll certainly encore when opportunities arise.
