茶涮涮 (English name: Cha Cha Cha) is a Japanese shabu shabu restaurant located at the very corner of Fashion Walk. Menu is in English and Chinese. They only have the lunch menu available at lunch. There is one choice for shabu shabu but the rest is basically set with sides, etc. All comes with a drink and other than the top two choices, you can choose rice, udon or cold noodles. The starch requirement is refillable.

I chose the Plum Green Tea and neglected to say I wanted it cold. It said it would be in room temperature but then it arrived hot. Hot is not really room temperature? But anyways, it was still very good. It would have been better if it was cold but that was my fault for forgetting to request it.

For my lunch, I chose the Teriyaki Black Angus Hanger Steak Set ($138). It arrived on a tray like so.

There was a small plate of pickled daikon and spicy beans. Not much to say about it. I didn't feel homemade.

The salad was a basic Japanese salad topped with imitation crab stick. The imitation crab sticks were actually quite good and firm. There was also some cucumber slices and slices of cherry tomato along with lettuce. Items were fresh and the dressing was a Japanese onion dressing that was not over done.

The soup I chose was a chicken soup. This was rather bland and Ithink I should have chosen the miso instead.

I also chose a hot Inaniwa Udon. A generous portion in a savory dashi soup. Udon was chewy and smooth.

The steak was ok. A bit chewy in some parts. The sauce coated everything well and was not too much nor overly sweet.

The meal ended with dessert which was a scoop of black sesame ice cream. Smooth and very intense in flavour.

The food was quite decent. Service was very nice. Place is quiet. Not sure why it was so quiet. But I'd be back.
