Had Spiga bookmarked for a while now but never got round to trying it until recently! Was scrambling to find a dinner spot on a Friday night and this modern, al-fresco Italian restaurant was able to deliver. 🇮🇹🍝 🍕 Pic 1️⃣: Bufala e prosciutto Pizza / “Fior di latte” mozzarella, tomato sauce, fresh buffalo mozzarella, parmigiano and mozzarella - $228 hkd 🍕 — Pizza was pretty good, the dough was nice and chewy without being overly soggy, and also managed to have a nice crispy edge to it which I love

Pic 1️⃣: Bufala e prosciutto Pizza / “Fior di latte” mozzarella, tomato sauce, fresh buffalo mozzarella, parmigiano and mozzarella - $228 hkd 🍕
— Pizza was pretty good, the dough was nice and chewy without being overly soggy, and also managed to have a nice crispy edge to it which I loved. The tomato sauce base could’ve been slightly more rich in my opinion. The mozzarella and parmigiano mix added extra flavour and savouriness to the pizza as well. The amount of prosciutto was a bit underwhelming though, definitely could’ve done with a few more slices of ham as the ham to rocket ratio seemed a bit off. 😅


Pic 2️⃣: Insalata di pesche e burrata / White peach, burrata, wild fennel pollen, xeres vinegar dressing - $178 hkd 🥗
— Salad was alright. It’s a light, and refreshing option to go with that’s also pretty to look at. The burrata wasn’t as creamy as I would’ve liked it to be and slightly dry. The white peach pairing goes really well with the burrata as the sweetness and mellow flavours really blend with the delicate flavours of the cheese. Though the peaches were slightly raw and could’ve done with a bit more sweetness.


Pic 3️⃣: Carbonara d’anatra / “Mancini” mezze maniche pasta, cured duck breast, organic egg yolk - $198 hkd 🍝
— Flavours were alright, slightly too salty for me and the pasta was quite undercooked. The cured duck breast added a rich umami flavour to the dish but was a bit dry and chewy. Think the dish has potential, but the different elements needs some polishing.


😋Taste: Food was very average, nothing overly spectacular but overall not bad.


📍Ambiance: Really spacious and comfortable seating, restaurant is large and suitable for large groups but also intimate date nights.


⭐️Would visit again?: Alright to try!
