A friend of mine at work recommended this restaurant to me a few months back but it was only a few weeks ago that i finally decided to take my family and try this place out. I must say that the ambience is amazing. From the lights to the fans on the ceiling to the marbled floor to the beautifully-designed wall all the way to the plants at the back of the restaurant where the kitchen can be seen through the glasses.. Not to mention the view from the dining area where you can literally see the opposite Kowloon island. This place is extraordinary! We sat down and were presented with the menus. Had a quick look and i must say, everything looked great! Our waiter approached us again and offered us drinks. I was intrigued with some of the words on the menu and this guy kindly explained the things we didnt understand. After we have ordered, bread were served. They looked like mini baguettes and were crispy and warm. Shortly after about 10 mins the starters arrived. Boy i must say i've never been to a restaurant in Hong Kong where the waiter literally says the dish in detail like the sauces and stuff. It makes you feel like you're dining in a very classy restaurant yet homey. As expected the starters were delicious. My wife really liked her Japanese Hamachi and my Trout was yummy as well. Starters were cleared from the table and the waiter offered us more bread but we declined to save some room for our mains. Then another service point was when he brought out this silver-looking tool and cleaned the breadcrumbs off our table! We were smiling the whole time he was doing this and my daughters found it cute! Other places just ignore these simple things but at St Bettys they look at every small detail which is just superb! After sometime our mains arrived. Again the in-detail presentation of the waiter was just great. My daughters loved the lamb. I had the beef cheek with mashed potato and my wife had the cod with ravioli pasta. The presentation of the dishes was just phenomenal! After the mains we were offered desserts but we politely declined although again, the dessert menu looked just as great. Overall the experience was unbelievable! Not only due to the great food but also to the excellent service which to be honest is something the majority of Hong Kong restaurants are lacking these days. St Betty is not cheap but that will not deter me from going back there in the future. We didn't even get the chance to ask for this guy's name as someone else brought us our bill. But the next time we go back i'm definetely gonna look for the waiter with the long hair. Great food and excellent service combined are the reasons customers like me go back again and again, hungry for more.
Other Info. : Great food and service
