Arriving at such a place, it was only appropriate that we had ordered drinks first. Being the non-alcoholic, I had a Nathan Garden, which was appropriately named as it was very floral and fragrant. Primarily composed with apple juice, the drink was very refreshing. We ordered an alcoholic drink, Earl Grey on Rocks, and it was good to see that the restaurant had actually incorporated Earl Grey Ice into the drink, ensuring that it doesn't dilute as it melts.

Then came the food, which we had selected from a variety of choices on the menu.

The appetiser that we had chosen was the Tiger Prawns in Chilli Garlic Bite ($88). We ordered the smaller portion as it was only the two of us and there were 3 prawns and 2 toasts in total. The prawns were served sizzling hot in a pan of oil, with a lot of fragrant garlic and chilli. They were meaty and infused with flavour. The toasts were very crispy and tasted better dipped in the sizzling pan of oil.

Next came one of the two main dishes of the night, the Roasted Pigeon ($218). This came to me as a surprise because I didn't think that many Western cuisines would serve pigeon. The pigeon was huge and therefore, meaty and juicy. It was also stuffed with Foie Gras and Mushrooms. The sides that it came along with was even more interesting, as the mashed potato look-alike is actually a Cannellini Bean puree, which was incredibly interesting and had a rougher texture than mashed potatoes.

The other main course that we had was the Pork Loin Steak ($158), which slightly paled in comparison to the Roasted Pigeon. However, the pork was thick-cut and tender, which I still very much enjoyed.

Lastly, we had a dessert to wrap up the night and we ordered the Cheese Tart ($62). This was freshly baked and served piping hot, with a contrasting vanilla ice cream. The cheese tart had a crumbly biscuit base, which I really liked, and the insides were very creamy and cheesy.
