Went with a friend on a Thursday night after work looking for something to eat near Star Street. Saw this shop opposite the 7-11 when I went in to buy something.
New restaurant nice bit of Frank Sinatra playing in the background.
Food prices were cheap and thought that it was another local Italian restaurant but it can't be as bad as Fat Angelos down the road.
We ordered:
Starters:
Anti Pasti
Prawn Cocktail
Oysters (we were at first a bit concerned about this but the waitress said it was freshly delivered...)
Main:
Stefanos Signature Pizza
Lasagne
Anti pasti was nice and big! very and juicy salami, parma ham and another form of soft not oily ham that I'm not too sure what it was.
Prawn cocktails was nice. Not small prawns big tiger prawns served on ice with a tangy cocktail sauce.
Oysters was fantastic for the price(i think they were about $30 each we had 4 of these). No stomachache the next day for both my friend and me. Really were fresh. We were served the creamy variety of oysters but was told that they sometimes have the saltier version as well, just got to book in advance for them as they go quick.
The best pizza I've had in Hong Kong! Authentic like Rome with a crispy thin crust and fresh ingredients. Not too oily which is what I like. Lasagne was nice and meaty with just the amount of cheese and sauce in it. Even came with just the right amount of parmesan and black pepper on it.
In the end was a real hidden gem, price was fantastic for the food. Really like homemade italian cooking with some tasty ingredients.
Gonna try the sausage and peppers and more oysters next time!
