After reading online that this cafe is within 50 Best cafes in Asia, we had to grab this chance to come! Again, with the coronavirus outbreak, we thought this cafe would be empty, but it's not! it's like 80% full, and we were lucky we did not have to wait. We arrived at around 1pm during weekday. Again, with the coronavirus outbreak, we thought this cafe would be empty, but it's not! it's like 80% full, and we were lucky we did not have to wait. We arrived at around 1pm during weekday. There are 4 seats outdoor, and the rest are indoor, with a 2nd floor. The menu shows single origins coffee, their championship coffee, specialty coffees, and of course the regulars. However, not everything is available, and you might want to check if the ones you want to try are available that day before you pay a visit. The price point is not too high, although the specialty coffees would cost you HKD 80+, I think it's normal?
We had regular flat whites at HKD37 and it was amazing, not much bubbles on the foam ( I was told the smoother the foam is the better the coffee) and coffee tastes amazing. I am not sure what beans they used, but it is not sour, (as I do not like sour taste) it is strong enough, after taste is nice, a bit of chocolatey and flowery flavor.
We also ordered the Panini with duck breast and cheese - the only food they offer. The Panini was quite a big portion, with 2 pieces of meat in each half, with cheese and thousand island sauces. It's hot and fresh, tasted amazing! You would expect a cafe like this would produce bad sandwiches, but no, this panini is the best that I've had (tho I haven't had a lot), but at least it's hot and fresh, crispy, a lot of cheese involved, and big enough to fill our empty stomachs.
