Sitting on the 5th floor of the LKF tower, in the midst of the buzzing Central, is Poem. Entering the venue at one Friday night, I could totally feel the pleasant ambience with unique Bali-inspired interior featuring plenty of bamboo and greenery. We got a table at the back of the restaurant, nearby the beautiful hand-woven bamboo lantern lighting that seemed to be their key focal point. Not only attentive and friendly, the staff were also well-versed in explaining the dishes. Not only attentive and friendly, the staff were also well-versed in explaining the dishes. We had their satay sampler (platter of chicken and beef skewers) for the appetizer, and it exceeded our expectation. Their chicken fried rice, lamb shank, and tiger prawn were all delectable. My favourite was their marinated prawn and fish satay — it was totally a must-try!
I ordered their Balinese Tropical Punch, which is a mix of pineapple and orange juice, with passionfruit puree and dash soda. It was pretty refreshing, although I prefer it to be more flavourful.
Tried a few of their desserts, and I think the banana cake with coconut sorbet and caramel sauce was outstanding. Loving its blend of flavours and its mix of texture.
I think Poem is definitely worth giving a try.
