Both Pete’s Place and The Den are ran by a lovely lady called TM and her son, Anthony. The place has an exceptional atmosphere and the crowd is friendly and well diversified in terms of age and culture. They offer a wide range of drinks but the highlights here are definitely their food menu.
They specialise in Wagyu Beef and having tried a few times, I have to admit, that to my utmost surprise, it really is on par with the premium
steak houses in Hong Kong (Bistecca, Grand Hyatt, Morton’s etc) albeit only fraction of the cost. They have different food promotions each night, and Wednesday is one of my favourite nights as they offer a selection of top quality Oysters from US/AUS/France/NZ for about $20. You can eat the food at the bar, or for a quieter/romantic atmosphere, simply go next door.
Tips: Highly recommend giving this place a shot on a Friday if it’s your first time. It’s a good place to start your weekend ahead!
