Read a few of the previous reviews. To me, comments from people like 海膽怪, towncat, twk, hebe and catcat_qoo all have a problem: bringing down the food quality because they received bad services. As someone who went there regularly for its approximity to a client, I think I should be in a pretty good position to say about this restaurant. The standard has been down. The standard has been down. It just can't cope with the heavy customer volume. But it's still NOT a third-grade Shanghainese restaurant. This is a very strange restaurant. The variation in the quality of its dishes is one of the largest I can recall. The key is to know what to order here! Believe it or not, some of the most common dishes like 担担面, 酒釀圓子and 小籠包, are actually very average. And of course you don't order fried rice in 王家沙. However, its 八寶飯, 青豆蓉湯丸, 蘿蔔絲酥餅and 東坡肉are still very good.
Services? It's a problem. The restaurant is understaff and the waitresses are undertrained. Environment is bad too - very crowded.
