This quaint coffee shop is a gem. Their coffee tastes fantastic and their cakes and tarts are of great quality, good size and not overly sweet. The base is crunchy which is really important to me. Nothing worse than a soggy base! They do pies and pastries too but I have not tried. My favorite is their dark chocolate tart $48 followed closely by their lemon tart for the same price. A tart and a coffee, sitting on the bench inside the shop watching the cars go by is such a great leisurely experien

A tart and a coffee, sitting on the bench inside the shop watching the cars go by is such a great leisurely experience. I ordered a cake from them - chocolate with orange jam in the middle. It tasted like Jaffa Cake and was delicious. There is a book of cake choices, many look really attractive. A nice alternative to the run of the mill restaurants on High Street.
