I'm writing this review to WARN everyone never to stay away from this place!

The only reason why you should visit is to check out the island itself - but pack your own food instead.

My initial reason for coming here was after reading the wonderful reviews from various websites raving about the sea urchin cuisine on Leung Shuen Wan. We set-off with high expectations on a long boat trip from Sai Kung pier and on arrival, we were disappointed at the total lack of ambiance - looked like a make-shift restaurant that the first two pigs of the three little pigs would build.

Getting over the initial disappointment at the atmosphere, we immediately set to ordering and were shocked at the prices. Reasoning that expensive price = quality food made it worse after we got stuck into the food. We ordered the raw sea urchin, sea urchin fried rice, omelette, strange fish (from China I suspect) among many other dishes in our quest to find something decent.

Tasteless is the first word that came to mind- what the....!!!! Then total embarrassment at having dragged my family and friends to this unworthy restaurant. The chef should be given ten negative Michelin stars and made to parade naked while beaten with large chopsticks...any dish in a Hong Kong tea restaurants would be better cuisine. There was no care in how the sea urchin was prepared - a complete waste of sea urchin.

Plus, the raw sea urchin was tiny - less than one mouthful's serving for $33!!!!! I'm heading for JUSCO next time.

Anyway, I could continue to vent my frustration for a long time but to save you the agony, just avoid this place so you don't waste a day being unhappy.
