It's supposed to be a birthday dinner for my friend, and I called the restaurant last Saturday (11/8) to reserve a table there on the coming Tuesday (14/8). The waitress who picked up my call had been good, she checked a bit and accepted my booking with a cheerful & positive tone. So here comes today, when another waitress called me back, I thought it was a confirmation of tomorrow's reservation, but then she told me that they forgot they're gonna have a staff party tomorrow, and "so we will have to cancel your booking, sorry" and asked if my reservation can be postponed the day after - which I couldn't help but responded, "Huh? How about you guys have your party the day after, lady?"
Fine. They are having a party tomorrow which they just "remembered" it today, and cancelled my booking so abruptly. Now I'm looking for another restaurant with similar food & environment 24 hours before the dinner which sound not quite possible. Thanks the restaurant for giving me such experience. Zero in Service.
