To encourage eatery outlets to reduce food waste at source together with customers through offering portioned meals and adopting food waste reduction measures, the Environmental Protection Department has launched the “Food Wise Eateries” Scheme. Participants will be awarded with a Food Wise Eateries (FWE) accreditation status if they comply with the assessment criteria and will be granted with the FWE Logo and Stickers for displaying in the premises and their promotion for public identification. Applications are accepted all year round and are FREE of charge.

Recently, I had a fantastic breakfast at HKU Restaurant- Alfafa. My meal was the Pasta in Mushroom Soup with Burgundy Ham and Poached Egg, Sweet Corn, and King Oyster Mushroom. The pasta was cooked perfectly with a savory flavor, the mushroom soup was rich and creamy, and the burgundy ham was salty and added texture. The poached egg was soft and blended well with the soup, while the sweet corn and king oyster mushroom added a crunchy freshness to the dish. I also had a cup of Earl Grey tea, which was fragrant and brewed to perfection.

At $30.5, the price of this meal was reasonable given the quality of the food and the generous portions. Overall, I was thoroughly impressed with my breakfast experience at HKU Restaurant- Alfafa and would highly recommend it for a delicious and satisfying meal. The food was expertly prepared and beautifully presented. I can't wait to go back!
