i didnt bring my cellphone with me so theres no photo for this entry..anyways, my family and i woke at nine this morning, a lot later than ytd when we got up at eight and rushed to lin heung lau to yum cha, and my mum and i wanted to have something western instead of chinese for breakfast. so against my dad's moaning we decided to give this new cafe a try.

we ordered three breakfast sets-

A. fruit salad with three mini bagels with pineapple cream cheese, orange juice
B. mini bagel with eggs, sausage, grilled tomato and baked beans, coffee
E. bagel with smoked salmon, scrambled eggs and cream cheese, caffe latte(+extra $8)

our breakfast costed a total of $124.

we waited for a bit too long for our breakfast to be served, as we retreated to upstairs and read the newspaper. but i noticed that the food of latter customers were served much quicker so i guess its not like theyre slow with cooking, but its just that the kitchen wasnt very ready when we ordered.

my dad's breakfast set B looked quite nice, the sunny side-up eggs has runny yolk and werent overcooked. the mini raisin bagel looked tempting to me too.

my mum's set A was nice too-she said she liked the minibagels and the pineapple creamcheese i ordered for her, because she liked pineapple. (but actually u can choose from strawberry, pineapple, plain and-is it blueberry?-cream cheese to go with the bagels) the fruit salad was fine too. yet she couldnt finish the three bagels and ended up taking 1.5 of it home.

as for my breakfast-i didnt know why i was so hungry-i finished the WHOLE bagel with salmon, egg and cheese PLUS the latte. the latte was pretty good, i especially like the foam on top, its actually better than some starbxxxx i think.
the scrambled eggs was especially good, the taste of the egg was rich, the texture was smooth and not overcooked.
the smoked salmon was, well, smoked salmon, and i guess theres nothing much they can do with it.
the bagel(NOT mini!i must have been really hungry by then,) was not toasted, and was a bit chewy-as all bagels should be-but i love it.

my mum said she will definitely come again for the mini bagels. she said the proportion of the breakfast sets are a bit too big-a mini bagel plus a drink will be fine for her.

i also noticed the great variety of hot tea served at this cafe. it has certainly made an impression on me and hopefully i will come again for breakfast someday
