We were the first ones to arrive at 6:30, and were led to a two-person booth near the entrance. The interior was well lit and spacious, with ample spacing between each one.The Korean waiter kindly showed us what our Groupon deal would consist of, and the food came in quick succession soon after. The banchans were standard fare, no surprises but all were tasty and fresh. Though they say it's unlimited refill, we were told that one of the dishes is a one-off only, and they were reluctant to refill
The Korean waiter kindly showed us what our Groupon deal would consist of, and the food came in quick succession soon after. The banchans were standard fare, no surprises but all were tasty and fresh. Though they say it's unlimited refill, we were told that one of the dishes is a one-off only, and they were reluctant to refill our orders after a second helping. So much for cheap deals. The chicken and beef were adequate in portion size for the two of us, and the meat was tender even without much fat in them. The bibimbap was pretty average and the tiny dish of noodles was forgettable, but it was edible. The drinks were either plum or pomelo/honey, hot or cold. No frills. The service was generally acceptable, except for one thing. Right after we finished grilling the meat, the waiter came immediately to hurry us to take the last few pieces off the grill so he can replace it with a new metal plate and cover it up with the wooden lid, cowering over our table when we were trying to have a conversation. Honestly, can it not wait?
It was a little hard to flag them down for tea refill, but since the teapots were right behind me, I helped myself to it.
