The restaurant's located up the slope from the HKU MTR but it's worth the steep climb for a good cheap breakfast.Quickly prepared, good toast, nice eggs with avocado on the side. But I like a coffee with my morning munch, so I ordered the filtered coffee (@$50 I thought it must be good). Quickly prepared, good toast, nice eggs with avocado on the side. But I like a coffee with my morning munch, so I ordered the filtered coffee (@$50 I thought it must be good). When it arrived it looked like a stain at the bottom of my shoe, a tiny portion not worthy of slurping slowly and it was light brown in colour. It tasted like dilute Nescafé - if your restaurant is named after a family of baristas you'd expect something exceptional. It was unbelievable but for all the wrong reasons - weak, tiny amount, tasteless and at $50 a "cup" (in inverted commas because the definition of cup is: 'a small, open container made of china, glass, metal, etc., usually having a handle and used chiefly as a receptable from which to drink tea, soup, etc.' Which it wasn't, more like a stain on blotting paper.)
Also it is one of the most expensive coffees in HK, certainly for volume per $. A real shame.
Get the breakfast, stay clear of the coffee.
