Went for dinner. The vibe is warm and relaxing. Ordered the scotch egg with soldiers. (apparently the toast strips are called soldiers because they form the straight thin formation, looked up from internet source). The tomato salad was fresh but tiny. The scallop with black pudding (when you have black pudding, you would expect a little bit bigger and more) so those little black crumbs really didn’t do much to the flavor of the whole dish. The scallop with black pudding (when you have black pudding, you would expect a little bit bigger and more) so those little black crumbs really didn’t do much to the flavor of the whole dish. The Hokkaido scallops are nice and they nailed it. Didn’t make it rubbery. Also had the beef pie, the pie was really nice and fresh. It’s also very filling. The fish and chips with peas at the bottom was good. The chips are the fatty ones which i enjoyed. Overall speaking a nice place to catch up with a few friends and enjoy a relaxing evening but rather small portion size. They also have outside area in case you are taking your furry kids.
