Having been to the other two Bricklanes in town, the CITIC one is where I spent most - but this is just due to the hosting of my colleagues' farewell lunch! The lunch was hosted among 40 colleagues and that is why the bill amounted to $6,796! There wasn't much fancy stuff to grab in CITIC Tower as shown by the logo display on 1/F of CITIC Tower. The dining area is large enough to accommodate 60 people at the same time. Having no main pillars in the middle of the area, it makes a perfect venue for event hosting or large gatherings. The interior was furnished in modern chic style, having grey and white walls and wooden tables and floor. Daylight shine through the balcony and the French windows, brightening up the interior with warm sunlight.

For my several visits to this particular Bricklane, I chose to sit outside to get some sunshine as an "air-con break" to my freezing time at office. Catering for al fresco dining, the balcony gives way to a little bit of seaview.

There is a rather exclusive corner in the restaurant with a cafe setting. As the table is somehow too low for meals, it suits short meet-ups or coffee breaks.

Arrangement with the Manager is rather smooth, with deposit of half of the expense (ie. 20 people's set meals) to confirm the booking. The set of menu was sent to me once confirming the booking, so that I could quickly proceed asking for colleagues' preference on meal sets. Upon request, a vegetarian option was flexibly offered to make it a 3-option menu, but at the end no one opted for this option.

All things went well for the set-ups and I got seated with colleagues and enjoyed our set meals. All sets came with a creamy mushroom soup and a salad.

If there is such an option to choose, mushroom soup is usually my choice as I can rarely make such a good one at home. The soup was with distinctive, deep mushroom flavor. The texture is optimal - neither too thick or thin.
I dislike mushroom soup that is too thick as I don't want to feel full even before having the main course.

The salad was delicately presented in a small transparent bowl, with cucumber, cherry tomato and lettuce. Veggies were fresh and the portion was just right.

Those around me ordered set A and C and I was the one ordering set A too -

The dish was nicely presented with asparagus, broccoli and cherry tomato beside a salmon fillet. For the sauce, it doesn't look like having the taste of peach and it really doesn't taste 'peach' too. However, treating it as a normal cream sauce was just fine enough.

The salmon was cooked just right - neither overdone or too raw. Telling from the colour of the flesh, it wasn't that cooked inside - there was still a little translucency. It tasted fresh and without any frozen odour. I appreciated this so much as controlling the quality of 24 salmon fillets is not an easy job even with prior notice.

The portion of angel hair was not that big, but the quality was high enough to compensate! Two mussels stood up amid angel hair forming a heart shape (em...). Clams and shrimps could also be found inside.

The lobster sauce shed light on the whole dish - lobster taste was intense and it made the pasta creamy and smooth. Although clams weren't expected to be the focus, the size wasn't small too!

Either for big gatherings like mine (for around 40 people) or simple lunch, this Bricklane is such a good fit! It can be somehow cheaper though, but it is still acceptable given the prime location of Admiralty.
