Visited Robuchon to celebrate my mom’s birthday. Front desk staff greeted us and we were seated promptly. Our waiter was kind and helpfully recommended us some of their popular main course dishes. We placed our orders and the delightful bread basket arrived soon after.

I ordered Le King Crabe as an appetizer. The portion has shrunk over the years I have dined at Robuchon. It was fresh and delicious, of the standard you’d expect from a Michelin restaurant. I just wish they’d be more generous with the portions - for over $500, I’d expect a bit more than three bites of crab.

For the main course, per the waiter’s suggestion, I had Le Homard “frites”. It was a delicious grilled lobster. Texture was superb. It had an adorable cone of devilishly salty thin cut fries to accompany it - made it hard for me to decide which stole the show. Would definitely recommend.

Finally for dessert, I decided to forgo the dessert chariot and went with Le Dentelle. It was a floating island mango mousse with a hard caramel inside, surrounded by more mousse and passionfruit jam. The jam was relatively sour compared to the rest of the dessert but nonetheless a potential choice for someone who doesn’t want something too sweet.

All in all, the food was to standard of a restaurant as well revered as Robuchon. Huge props to the staff, they made the dining experience even better.
