Decided to have a glass of wine before watching a movie last night at "The One" shopping plaza. Walked into the lobby of the floor and noticed a disheveled man in his late 30's/early 40's, resembling a character from a Hong Kong Triad film, greeting guests. and a question of "have a reservation?"

This was 5pm on a Sunday afternoon and the place had 3 tables occupied.

The menu was quite bleek and so my friend and I ordered 2 glasses of the house red wine. The wine tasted as if it was left over from the night before and also been left in the sun. But the menu price was only $50/glass, so I didn't bother to complain or talk to the staff, since they seemed so "warm & friendly" already.

After sitting for 15 minutes, I asked for the bill - and to my surprise - each glass of wine was $70! I asked the waiter why the increase in the price, and his explanation was that "it is not happy hour".

OK - fine, then why did the menu not clearly indicate that? In fact, there was no other pricing next to the $50 written on the menu.

Look - $20 is not the point - it's the service attitude that came along with it that's a turn-off. If you call yourself "cocky bar", doesn't mean you have to act so cocky that you chase away your customers. Perhaps the staff should go take a lesson of Humility if they want to succeed in the long-term.
