It’s my first visit to Kactus, I was drawn by the decor of the cafe, I really like this kind of style in a cafe, clean and not pretentious.I ordered a cup of cafe latte, had a little expectation as I can clearly see they were using UCR as their consultants and UCR has really good quality beans. The latte art was amateurish, it was quite obvious the foam wasn’t made correctly, either it didn’t achieve micro-foam or the milk was over heated. The taste of the coffee was even more disappointing, it has that long lasting bitterness that you get from panadol and even with so much milk in a latte, it didn’t cover the bitterness.
As i said, i like the kind of decor it has, but in a cafe, is it really necessary to have the music so loud? I know the ladies working that that morning was enjoying it, but I don’t think they paid much attention to the other customers.
Overall, I understand why people would want to go there to take some pictures, but I wouldn’t go there for their coffee, which is quite sad as it is a cafe, and they really should get their coffee right.
