Smoko is a very small coffee and geared for take away only. Located in Fortress Hill, right behind the AIA building, the shop consists of a counter with no seating. It reminded me a lot like Unar in Tai Hang.Menu was written on a board. It seemed to have the usual coffee varieties along with tea and light sandwiches. It had something interesting called tap coffee and when asked what that was, it was explained to me to be similiar to nitro-press but wasn't really nitro-press. I have no idea what

Menu was written on a board. It seemed to have the usual coffee varieties along with tea and light sandwiches. It had something interesting called tap coffee and when asked what that was, it was explained to me to be similiar to nitro-press but wasn't really nitro-press. I have no idea what that is supposed to mean. As it was hot out, it did interest me but I wanted a little milk  that day so decided on the barista's suggestion of ice latte with a shot of toasted almond.

Ice Latte with Toasted Almond ($39). The barista was friendly enough and he let me sample the coffee if the amount of sweetness and milk was enough. Interesting that they try to tailor make a coffee that is right for you. The coffee was ok. Not too strong and not too weak. The amount of toasted almond wasn't very pronounced. I tasted it at first but then it gradually disappeared. It was an ok cup of coffee.

Interesting shop and would return again if I'm in the area. Perhaps next time I'll try their tap coffee.
