In my ongoing search for great vietnamese rolls in Hong Kong, this shop has been on my list of places to try for a long time now. I finally got to try it and wasn't too disappointed. In my ongoing search for great vietnamese rolls in Hong Kong, this shop has been on my list of places to try for a long time now. I finally got to try it and wasn't too disappointed. The bread rolls were very crispy and nice, and well worth a try for themselves. It basically doesn't matter what they put inside, the bread is already one of the greatest I've tried in Hong Kong!

The toppings themselves though left something to be desired. Probably a bit too sparse, and talking to the shopkeeper they recognise that, but they do pride themselves on the bread itself, as well they should! I also tried their Foie Gras with Garlic Bread, but this tasted more like just plain garlic bread, so nothing to really write home about.

Overall though, it was a pretty decent banh mi, by Hong Kong standards, and if I'm around the district, and hungry for a snack, I would probably still drop by for a quick bite. The shop is overall very small, but the staff friendly, and although it does take a small wait to get the rolls, the bread definitely makes it worthwhile in the end...
