WHAT THE? the plate first hit the handrails of the stairs then broke into numerous pieces and the jagged pieces scattered like rainfall. there were many waiters and waitresses standing right underneath and there were tables of people close by, VERY VERY FORTUNATELY, nobody was hurt, but it was a close call. the waiters and waitresses spent the next 5-10 minutes cleaning up the mess and picking up the pieces.
cannot imagine what would happen if the pieces sliced someone's face or if the broken pieces hit someone's head. death, or defaced?
restaurant must look into how they could let this happen and prevent this from happening again.
did they place the tables too close to the top of the stairs so people pushed over their plates by accident?
were there drunk people toying around with plates and threw them down for fun?
were their staff holding too many plates and slipped by accident?
or is the design of such a long, narrow flight of stairs a faulted design in the first place?
could some sort of fence be set up to prevent these things from happening?
whatever it is, it is for the restaurant to figure out and remedy the situation.
the fact that this was allowed to happen is totally unacceptable.
for this reason alone, will not re-visit! (food is not bad though)
