The bread platter was warm and inviting; although I'm not one for coarse wheat bread, it was filling and matched well with butter. I went for the full-day breakfast which was one of Simplylife's signature dishes; the toast was crisp despite its full thickness, the baked beans were not soggy, the bacon with fatty rinds and the sausages were guiltily pleasing, together with grilled tomatoes, mushrooms and scrambled eggs made this a most satisfying meal. The banana chocolate cake, appearing heavily loaded with cream, was not excessively sweet since the base was not solid cake mix but bananas - a delectable conclusion to this dinner.
It was worth mentioning the staff were very polite and helpful, and they were most pleasant despite the late hour, and they were genuinely concerned with food wastage (the diners next to us left an almost untouched cake). At $147 per head, this was a most enjoyable meal.
