It’s finally my turn to try out this popular French restaurant in Wanchai. The bistro has a cute shopfront with very instagrammable light green facades and wooden windows seating area. I basically ordered all their famous dishes this time and all of them are delicious and decent.

Chicken liver parfait 🐓
The chicken liver parfait is very creamy and flavourful. The most surprising component would be the red onion compote on the side, enjoyed the natural sweetness and sourness which balance well with the meatiness of the chicken liver. I also love the homemade baguettes crisps on the side, they are buttery on the top and toasted to perfection.

Steak tartare 🥩
The steak of the tartare is very tender. The hand chopped steak has a wonderful texture and it perfectly seasoned. It also has generous amount of mustard and pickles that complements with the meatiness of the steak. The egg yolk on top coats all ingredients together. The serving amount was also quite generous.

Duck a l’orange 🦆🍊
The next thing we ordered is their signature Duck a l’orange. I saw lots of positive feedbacks about this dish on Insta and open rice and it definitely lives up to expectation. The duck breast was cooked perfectly to medium rare, stunningly pink. The duck was succulent and moist and the skin had just the right level of texture and fatiness. The honey glazed sauce was made with orange, broth and butter. It is slightly sweet and it complements well with the meatiness of the duck. The carrots purée and slow cooked carrots on the side are also perfectly executed, the dish is just so heavenly!

Honey Madeleine 🍯
The honey madeleine came straight from the oven, served warm. It is super soft and fluffy on the inside while the edges are slightly crispy. It’s such a perfect conclusion for the meal☺️
