It must take a lot of courage to open a new restaurant in the middle of a pandemic but new restaurants can still be found!  One place I discovered was 春嬌. A Vietnamese restaurant that took over the old Mackie Restaurant in Causeway Bay's Haven Street area.Menu is in English and Chinese. There is no 10% service charge. I decided to have the set longan water. It was pretty delicious. Not watered down like most places that serve this for a set drink. There was also a lot of very sweet longan to munch on afterwards.

Boyfriend added $9 for an iced coconut milk. There was a layer of sugar syrup on the bottom, making it even sweeter. Boyfriend liked it as it as sweet and rich in coconut.

I had the Grilled Beef with Scallion Oil and Cold Vermicelli ($48) as it was getting warm out. This was a pretty big portion. The noodles were nice and fresh tasting. The sauce was a bit on the salty side. But it all came together with the crumbly beef and the fresh assortment of cucumbers and crunchy peanuts. It didn't feel very authentic as the beef tasted like bulgogi but it was still pretty good.

Boyfriend had the Chun Giu Pho ($62). It was a fairly generous portion. There was some medium rare beef, brisket and balls. And then .. we found a whole piece of fish maw. Definitely not authentic with the addition of that, but it wasn't too bad. The soup could have been more rich but it was fine.

The food was fairly good. Not great but at least not bad at all. Price was not expensive and service was very friendly. Would most likely come again.
