We chose this restaurant due to the heavy recommendations we gained from various friends whom has been urging us to have dinner there since last month. The location of this restaurant is easily accessible as it is just a short 5-minute walk from the MTR station and with its appealing and attractive outlook, it is hard to not notice this restaurant. It almost felt like we were passing by a food shop in Japan as everything was wooden and decorated in a very classy Japanese style. The entrance was just like how we watch Japanese drama, entering through a wooden sliding door and then greeted kindly by the waitresses and chefs.
their cute menu!

As a table of 5, we decided to order a wide range of food in which we will share out together in the middle. The menu was very different from what we usually see in HK Japanese restaurants; it had a very unique style and made us pick out a lot of food to order hahah, due to its over-attractiveness and convenience to find what to eat. There are a wide variety of food available including appetizers, salad, to teriyaki and ramen, suitable for small or large gatherings.

One point to stress, the waitresses are VERY nice and attentive. They know the food very well as this lady who served our table gave us a whole lot of knowledge as to how the food is special and recommended us what to order, including the reason why. It persuaded us to order quite some number of food hahaa
yummy starters :P

As appetizers, we ordered several side dishes to keep ourselves busy eating
I had to note down all the food we ordered as it was all absolutely delicious! “Grilled Capelin”, “Cooked Beef and Potato”, “Grilled Sweet Corn with Butter” and “ Mushroom Wrapped with Beef” were our starters. The beef was very juicy and rich in taste, with the sweet potatoes and carrots that linked the savor together. The beef roll was strong in flavour with the special home-made teriyaki sauce of the shop. The tomato inside adds the sour bud providing a little swift in the mouth. AMAZING food

Next came the salad, “Deep Fried Soft Shell Crab and Avocado Salad” I have to stress my love over this dish as it was something new to my Japanese food diary. I had never tried such rice roll wrap before but the trial was definitely worth it. The deeply fried soft shell crab and the avocado is a perfect match when eaten together and as a five, we agreed that one for each of us is not enough.

We loved the “Home Made Chicken Meat Ball” as well. We ordered three servings in the end HAHA. Apparently, the sauce in which we had to dip in was a secret recipe of the shop, in which were primarily stewed by chicken soup, and the waitress kindly taught us that we needed to mix in the egg yolk for taste. She explained to us that the egg was imported directly from Japan, which solved our question as to why it tasted so sweet and different from what we get from local supermarkets!

We ordered two types of ramen, ‘Tonkotsu Ramen (pork based soup)’ and ‘Thick Cut whole wheat grain Tsukemen’ under the guidance of the waitress. Apparently these two are the top hits in the restaurant and we indeed understand why. I focused my attention more on the tonkotsu ramen; the soup was very rich, and tasted like those that were stewed for hours. Moreover, the ramen were served in just the right temperature for eating and of appropriate portion. The ramen was apparently imported from Japan as well, no wonder the texture was unique in stretchiness and had a strong taste. We concluded our dinner with an ice cream dessert each- ‘Japanese Natural Sea Salt Gelato’ which made it different from that normal Green Tea Ice Cream we get in other restaurants.

I must give a pat on the back for the person who did the interior designing of this restaurant. The atmosphere is calming and most importantly, made me feel as though I went to Japan haha! Lanterns with Japanese art are hung on the ceiling with Japanese kites and sake bottles round the corners and on shelves. The lighting is soothing and comfortable, with the sitting spaced out making it suitable for personal dates and group chats. The serving time is fast meaning we hardly needed to sit empty waiting for food.
perfect dining atmosphere;)

Overall, we were all 100% satisfied with the quality and portion of the foods served and the taste were uniquely different from other Japanese restaurants in the city. This is a must-visit restaurant in my opinion and the diverse variety of true Japanese cuisine can be experienced in this beautifully decorated place! Quickly go visit it for yourselves! Don't make yourself regret as I am definitely re-visiting this place real soon
