First time trying Nepalese fast food at @momoz_hk - a new fusion eatery with branches in Tsim Sha Tsui and Central serving up momos (Nepalese dumplings), rolls and a sizeable funky drink menu! We came for a late lunch so the small space wasn’t fully packed. [Momos]
Each order includes 8 bite-sized momos with 2 accompanying sauces in a bamboo steamer. We got half-half to try out more flavors - so sad the char siu one was not available that day though. Before we go on, can we just take a second to appreciate how beautiful and colorful this spread is?

Our favorite was the classic lamb as the delicious soup inside reminded us of xiao long bao. We also really enjoyed the Jain one with a prominent cauliflower taste amongst the plethora of Napoleon spices. The Swiss-Italian cheese one had a hint of wine, but we were kind of expecting the cheese ‘fondue’ to be molten. The Hainanese chicken one was a little disappointing too as it was a tad too dry.

Fortunately, the chutneys (Indian condiments) really elevated the taste of the momos - traditional ginger dipping sauce for Hainanese chicken, refreshing mint sauce for the lamb and the classic chilli sauce that was on the mild side.

[Dynamite Prawn Roll]
The roll was thoughtfully cut in two for easy sharing. Deep-fried prawns and coleslaw were nicely wrapped in a layer of paratha (Indian flatbread) and egg. The cocktail sauce and other spices gave the roll a rather hot spicy flavor that was a little too much for me, but I finished everything! If you know me, you’ll know how intolerable I am of spiciness, so that really says a lot about the scrumptiousness of this roll.

[House Lemonade]
We were quite impressed by this freshly squeezed lemonade listed under the ‘mocktail’ section of the beverage menu. It wasn’t too fizzy or too sour and the abundance of mint leaves made it extra thirst-quenching!
