Found out about this place from my South African colleague. Was excited to try as I never had South African food before. The owner was an absolute delight and took great care of us throughout the entire meal. He would happily give us recommendations while patiently explaining the different dishes, since we were clearly new to South African cuisine. The owner was an absolute delight and took great care of us throughout the entire meal. He would happily give us recommendations while patiently explaining the different dishes, since we were clearly new to South African cuisine.
We were offered extra bread to dip in the delicious gumbo shrimp, and when we had to move tables due to a mistake in the booking system, the owner more than made up for it by offering his sincere apology multiple times but also by giving us free top ups of our wine! 
Everything that we tried was absolutely delicious. The gumbo shrimp sauce is just to die for. Just a heads up regarding the corn ribs - it looks like it doesn’t come with the stalk but it does!
We ordered springbokkie and amarula shots to go with our desserts and the owner surprised us by kindly offering us an extra shot of each on the house so that my boyfriend and I could try both shots (we originally just ordered one each to share.) 
It was a wonderful evening with delicious food and exceptional service. I will definitely return.
