I was a bit skeptical venturing into an alleyway on a rainy day but since many people have been raving about this establishment, I decided to give it a try. Normally, I prefer to sit down and taste the chicken fresh out of the chopping board, however, they currently only do takeaways. My expectations are high given that the restaurant is run by a former chef from the Grand Hyatt hotel and they also use the notoriously famous three yellow chicken, which the freshness of the meat should be guaranteed. The boneless Hainan chicken rice was quite delectable and didn’t disappoint. The meat was very tender and succulent, even the skins were crispy without any greasiness. The chicken fat infused rice was flavorful without a hint of oily texture. A quality dish with a price tag of only HKD55 is a pretty sweet deal and I would definitely return for another meal.
