This was the third time and last attempt for us to this diner. Got served a wrong dish at our first visit, but must give credits to the thoughtful server who gave us a discount coupon which led us to our second visit. We were greeted by a friendly waitress whom spent time on explaining their selection of coffee beans. We thought we could give this place another try on a Sunday morning peak hour. We were wrong. We thought we could give this place another try on a Sunday morning peak hour. We were wrong.
This third visit has prompted me to write my second review on OpenRice (both negative) mostly because of the disappointing service.
First, food quality:
Waffle to be frank is average. Nothing fancy, just plain waffle served with average ice cream and standard chocolate sauce.
Coffee was served luke-warm which makes it worse than the ones served at fast food chain.
More importantly, service:
After waited for 45 min watching my boyfriend finishing his waffle, I chased two different waiters for the eggs royale that I ordered. Both waiters seemed to be too occupied with serving the other customers and had us waited for 5 more mins to finally tell me they have missed my order.
Instead of offering any solution they gave me blank stare and I had to, quite naturally, asked for the bill. No apologies were ever given. In fact, they seemed to be pretty happy about taking more customers waiting at the door. The bill arrived very quickly.
I can put up with average food quality considering the price and amount of customers this place served. But I cannot accept their obvious ignorance to service.
There are far more better alternatives in the neighborhood with much more reasonable price and better service.
